All Bell Curves instructors have completed more than 30 hours of our teacher development and training program. Our teachers are evaluated not only on their test performance, but also on their skill in the classroom. A teacher must demonstrate intelligence, a sense of humor, empathy, professionalism, and dedication in order to work for Bell Curves.

Ally is a cum laude graduate of Duke University (Go Blue Devils!). Ally has been tutoring privately since she was in eighth grade when her mom would volunteer her services to her younger sister's friends. She joined Bell Curves as a part-time teacher/tutor in 2011 and has been working here full-time since 2012 as the Director of the K-12 Department, coordinating all classes and tutoring assignments. She has experience teaching everything from standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, SATII, SSAT, SHSAT and NYS Regents to sports including swimming and soccer.

Chloe graduated cum laude from the University of Vermont in 2020 where she studied human development and family studies. As an upper west side native, she has been part of the Bell Curves family for about 8 years now. Starting as a Bell Curves student in high-school, she stepped in as an intern in 2017, and was certified to teach in 2019. Chloe has taught both group and individual SAT/ACT/SHSAT prep, along with SSAT and ISEE. Chloe is currently studying to get her masters in school counseling from Hunter College, and strives towards providing both academic and emotional support for her students.

Christina Robinson is currently an Audiologist in the State of New Jersey. She has been at Bell Curves since 2014 serving as an instructor, private tutor and proctor. She has helped prepare students for the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, SAT, ACT, New York State MOSL test and the New York State U.S. History regents. She has also provided instruction in Algebra II and ELA. Hany has spent substantial time working as an engineer on projects around the world. He is also devoted to the study of yoga and indian music. Upon moving to New York City in 2008, Hany began teaching with Bell Curves in the GMAT and eventually cross trained in teaching the SAT, ACT, GRE, and various regents and AP level high school topics. He is very fond of teaching - an endeavor for which he uses skills from across his diverse background.His blend of problem solving and creative skills, combined with his love for helping students grasp challenging concepts make him an effective teacher for students of a multitude of learning styles. Jamie Larson is an artist, educator, and activist. Jamie has been teaching and private tutoring with Bell Curves since 2013, but her work with youth and teens goes back much further. She has been creating and facilitating programming to help youth develop leadership skills and foster community since high school. Jamie graduated from New York University in 2010, with a focus on theater, design, and fine art. She strives to bring this creativity to the classroom and to integrate it into her private lessons. By making strong connections and meeting students at their own unique levels, Jamie seeks to build confidence and empower her students as she teaches. With a broad base of knowledge, she teaches elementary schools students all the way up to high school students taking college entry exams. This includes Common Core, ELA, SHSAT, SSAT, ISEE, Regents Exams, SAT, and ACT, in addition to homework help and general tutoring.

Matthew Williams has been with Bell Curves since Fall 2015, serving as an instructor, tutor, and proctor. During his time with the company, he has prepared students for both the SAT and SHSAT. Shuy has a passion for teaching and assisting youth with tapping into their true potential. She's served as a private academic tutor since 2001, having worked with three prominent tutoring and SAT prep companies before joining the Bell Curves team in 2010 as an SAT Prep instructor and has loved the partnership ever since. Shuy is also an entrepreneur who runs an educational tutoring company. She strongly believes that once children are introduced to their true abilities, encouraged to feel confident in learning new methods, they have the opportunity to soar. She attended George Washington University, where she studied psychology and music. She is currently learning jazz violin as an addendum to her classical training. She aspires to learn and grow in the field of education and create a non-profit to teach youth financial literacy and the importance of philanthropy, in the near future. She loves to volunteer with local community groups, perform in her church's chamber orchestra. In addition to her love of education and music she also enjoys calligraphy.
